FuelTech Vision Software 3.0

October 08, 2026

New Update

FuelTech Vision 3.0

FuelTech Vision 3.0 is a major release of the software that configures and tunes FuelTech VCUs (the vehicle control unit, FuelTech's ECU) such as the FT700 and the new FT470, on PC, tablet and phone. It introduces a fuel model based on volumetric efficiency with closed-loop learning, control of the direct-injection high-pressure pump and a self-calibrating electronic throttle, alongside new diagnostic tools and broader real-time adjustment. It also improves connection, map transfer, engine start, electronic throttle and datalogging, as detailed in the sections below.

Nine languages

Thai and Arabic are new, and Arabic is available on the FT700, Desktop, Mobile and Tablet.

Good to know after updating

These items change a default, a name or a behavior, or ask for an action on your side, so that your maps and workflow carry over without surprises.

Action needed

  • PowerFT import: The conversion of bank fuel mode, the wastegate deadtime table and temperature units was revised. Maps imported with earlier versions should be re-imported.
  • Fuel compensations: Deadtime compensation by battery voltage is applied, flex compensation is composed multiplicatively (as on PowerFT) and MAP compensation is applied even with a TPS-based main map.
  • Boost control by throttle: The PID derivative term uses the real loop period. After updating, the D gain may need readjustment.
  • Strain gauge pull-up: The pull-up setting is ignored on strain gauge inputs, as on PowerFT; a validation warning flags maps that have it enabled, so review them.

New defaults, names and locations

  • New defaults: Default cranking speed 400 rpm; lap timer finish line radius from 10 m to 50 m (new maps only); MAP sensor failsafe defaults to the estimated MAP table by RPM x TPS, with the engine limited to 4000 rpm while the sensor is in failure; the center-based 3D chart is the new default (the previous mode remains in Settings).
  • Idle and O2: The TPS threshold for forced idle opening is 90%, and the O2 average excludes disabled sensors.
  • Channel names: "Exhaust O2" is now "O2 General" and the closed loop sensor is "Closed Loop / VE Probe"; "Battery" is now "Battery voltage" (to avoid confusion with the traction battery); primary shaft and driveshaft names were standardized.
  • User data folder: Maps, logs and dashboards now live in C:\FuelTech Vision; the default folder shown in My computer can be configured and restored.
  • Shortcuts: F4 opens the Dashboard; F6 switches the injection map unit between milliseconds, duty cycle and flow.
  • Removed or hidden controls: The "Active at 0V / Activated at 12V" input polarity selector was removed from all screens (polarity is defined by sensor type); the digital filter fields of the internal MAP sensor were removed; the estimated torque and power side panel is hidden, while the Dyno tab on the top bar remains available.

Changed behaviors

  • Map sending options (Write, Replace, Write map and set active): "Write" stores the map on the VCU without activating it; "Replace" rewrites the active map instead of creating a new file; writing and activating a map is a single operation, with progress on the FT700 screen and "Applying map in the VCU" in Vision until confirmation.
  • Restore factory defaults: New option that returns the VCU to its factory state, on the My VCU screen (long-press confirmation) and on Desktop over USB cable only. It erases maps, logs, pairings and settings, zeroes the odometer, hourmeter, fuel consumed and learning, and restarts the VCU. Requires engine stopped and battery above 11 V.
  • Table overlay on the log: Edits made through the overlay go to the map automatically, without confirmation; closing the last log with a pending edit asks whether to apply or discard.
  • Automatic migrations: Existing maps are migrated to the new injector configuration screen, and Custom functions using the high-resolution cut are migrated as well.
  • Outputs and battery power: Outputs are only activated with battery power (not with the module powered by USB only) and only after the map is loaded.
  • Electronic throttle: Detection of stuck throttle, divergence between position sensors and pedal failure releases the throttle to the mechanical safe position, with automatic recovery and a choice of action per failure type; the pedal responds from the first touch with idle position above zero.
  • Wheelie control: The wheelie control uses the VCU's internal gyroscope angle, with its cut output and return modes written to the VCU. The anti-wheelie cut by inclination follows its configured settings.
  • Automatic transmission: With the vehicle stopped, below 5 km/h, first gear is commanded directly when entering D; for the converter lockup, the minimum gear cuts the lockup and equal on and off speeds disable it, as on PowerFT.
  • Crank sensor filter: The ignition masking filter on the crank signal is disabled.
  • Lambda over FTCAN 2.0: The lambda reading over FTCAN 2.0 is only accepted when the sensor source in the map is set to CAN.

Volumetric Efficiency Fuel Model (VE)

6 updates
  • New injection strategy: Fuel calculation based on volumetric efficiency, with VE and lambda target tables.
  • Injector configuration: New screen with deadtime in a 2D table, linearization by effective injection time and real-time editing.
  • Total flow per bank: The screen shows each bank's total flow (injector flow x number of injectors), with the flow field labeled as per injector; limit extended to about 10,000 lb/h.
  • Staging and enrichment: A to B to C staging integrated into the VE model, and a dedicated acceleration fuel enrichment per event or time based, with decay.
  • Integrated compensations: Engine temperature, post start, per-gear, gear-change and differential fuel pressure compensations and Custom functions act in VE; the "VE Enrichment" channel shows the total factor applied (acceleration, post start, temperature, gear and bus).
  • MAP sensor safe mode: Estimated MAP table by RPM x TPS with realistic factory values as the default failsafe.

Fuel Closed Loop Learning (VE)

5 updates
  • Fast correction and long-term learning: Fast correction following the O2 sensor in real time and long-term learning in an RPM x MAP table, with authority per MAP range, learning gain and an option to only enrich under boost. Twenty conditions pause the correction. Disabled by default.
  • Learning screen and diagnostics: Live heat map, confidence per cell, loop state and active conditions, with reset and save (Desktop: under Tools, VE mode only); the screen indicates whether the learned error comes from injector flow or pressure, deadtime, air temperature or idle, so only the residual goes to the VE table.
  • Apply learning to the VE table: A wizard proposes the VE table only in cells with enough confidence, with optional smoothing, undoable in one step.
  • Learning preserved: Written to VCU memory at key-off, it survives reboots and changes to the VE table's axes or size.
  • Closed loop frequency: Adjustable from 1 to 1000 Hz in real time, without resending the map.

Real-Time Adjustment

6 updates
  • More than 1,100 parameters in real time: Remaining injection and ignition, VE closed loop, time based compensations, launch, transmission, turbo, outputs and limiters editable with the VCU connected, with no module restart or unnecessary memory writes.
  • Real-time idle control: The five idle tables, all parameters and the compensation act without resetting the control, ending the throttle jolt with every keystroke.
  • Edits held while the VCU is busy: During map writing, output test or calibration, Vision holds the edits and resends them when the VCU frees up, with a status bar indicator.
  • Real-time panel: Fixed minimum and maximum per gauge, with return to automatic, and a readings bar height adjusted by dragging and saved per screen.
  • Simulation: Pause and resume button with a persistent warning banner; closing the tab turns the simulation off on the VCU.
  • Imperial units and vectors: Values in imperial units and vectors such as the boost controllers' pressure target are sent to the VCU as configured, and switching units keeps the interface responsive.

Map Sending and Management

10 updates
  • Map file three times smaller: Compact format, faster sending and reading, compatible with existing files.
  • Make active from Desktop: Make a map stored on the VCU active without leaving the software; the active map is highlighted and pinned to the top.
  • Faster map manager: Much faster opening, with sorting by date and full names.
  • Map up to date on send: The map sent reflects the current edits, including unsaved changes, and a map opened from a log is sent as a map.
  • Converted maps stay in memory: Opening a converted map keeps the conversion in memory until you choose to save.
  • Touch context menu: Three-dot button and long press open make active, download, send to cloud and delete on VCU maps.
  • Restore quarantined maps: Quarantined maps can be restored straight from the manager.
  • More complete map checker: Validation of pedal and throttle inputs and outputs and VVT duty limits, new warnings for sequential injection without a cam signal, pending calibration, lockup without hysteresis and strain gauge with pull-up; alerts show the menu path in friendly language with a shortcut to the setting, and the diagnostics menu gains a configuration alerts shortcut with the pending count.
  • Version downgrade: The dialog compares the correct version and no longer blocks USB and fixed IP connections; when the VCU version cannot be read, the process aborts with a clear warning.
  • Force complete map sync and passwords: Persistent banner on Desktop while Force complete map sync is on in the map; the password screen shows how many functions are actually protected.

Connection and File Transfer

10 updates
  • Background communication: VCU communication runs in the background, leaving the interface fluid during map and log transfers; the map is saved and swapped in the background.
  • Download recovery: If communication is interrupted, the download resumes where it left off, with wait times adapted to connection quality, and it starts while the VCU is still compressing the file.
  • Folder organization: Option to organize downloaded files into folders per device, with map and log subfolders.
  • FT700 Wi-Fi: The VCU returns on its own to the saved network after a router drop or restart; the screen shows band, channel and frequency, and the list shows on which bands each network was found.
  • Easier network switching: When switching the computer's Wi-Fi to the VCU's network, a failed first attempt is handled immediately, the manual click is accepted and reconnection retries on its own, silently; Vision joins the new network's discovery group and updates the address of VCUs that changed IP.
  • Map sending over Wi-Fi: Tolerates a delayed response, with the wait time adapted to link quality.
  • Faster connection loss detection: A VCU dropping off Wi-Fi is detected in about five seconds, and an unresponsive fixed IP connection gives up on its own.
  • USB connection: Improved first connection after plugging in the VCU, with the mouse and screen responsive while connecting over USB.
  • Map read and send: Improved handling of file names with special characters, of the provisional file list shown on connection (dimmed and labeled until the real listing arrives), of a disconnection during a send and of finishing a map read.
  • Switching connections: Improved switching between connections and communication with VCUs on older firmware, and the VCU keeps accepting new connections.

Direct Injection Control (GDI / High-Pressure Pump)

4 updates
  • HPFP control: New high-pressure fuel pump control for direct injection engines: actuation synchronized to the engine with output selection per rail, pressure target from TPS and MAP tables with real-time editing, PID with gains by RPM, cranking configuration, protections and rail pressure sensor diagnostics.
  • Banks per rail: Each rail declares which banks it feeds, with validations for a bank on two rails, a rail with no bank and divergent pressure reference.
  • Low-pressure cut and alerts: Direct injection cut on low rail pressure or start inhibit, cranking respecting the configured minimum pressure, and alerts when the pump enters safe mode or the correction sits against its limit for more than one second.
  • Diagnostic channels and PID authority: Control correction, applied advance, pressure error, commanded pulse and effective pumping window per rail, indicators of which limit is holding the command, and a field defining how much of the base value the control may remove.

Electronic Throttle (ETC)

8 updates
  • Automatic calibration: Learns dead zone, gains and mechanical stops on its own, with a real progress bar and recalibration from Settings; completes on bodies with very strong return springs, reversed-polarity wiring, very fast response or non-standard rest position, and accepts alternators up to 18 V.
  • Follow from anywhere: Progress also over the network, with a minimizable popup on Desktop, clear messages per step and the reason when something does not complete; TPS and pedal calibration is sent to the VCU immediately, without a restart.
  • Smoother and faster movement: Target smoothing with soft landing, smoothing at the ends of travel and more precise response in the spring preload region; in the speed presets, opening from idle or closing from full throttle starts at maximum speed.
  • Pedal: Responds from the first touch with idle position above zero; independent pedal mapping table per throttle in two-throttle installations; pedal over FTCAN 2.0 or Custom CAN accepted as calibrated; calibration follows the configured reference (A only, B only or A and B).
  • Throttle fault detection: Detection of stuck throttle, divergence between position sensors and pedal failure, with release to the mechanical safe position and automatic recovery, and a choice of action per failure type; the VCU also warns when the ETC is enabled but not calibrated.
  • New channels: "Throttle 1 target" and "Throttle 2 target" in the datalogger and real-time measures.
  • Key-on alarm logic: Pedal correlation and jam alarms are not raised at key-on, with 12 V and USB connected or on the bench with USB only, and the uncalibrated throttle warning respects the sensor power supply.
  • Acceleration behavior: The loss-of-tracking protection holds its count while the error is decreasing; fast openings to 100% complete their travel; with the pedal in failure, 2-step by TPS, Pro-Nitrous, cold start and other functions do not treat the last value as valid.

Engine, Cranking and Idle

13 updates
  • Quick start: New option that reduces cranking time, with synchronization on the very first trigger wheel gap and emulated cam phase, plus a new measure.
  • Start button and lockout: Multiple sources for the start button and lockout with the stop button pressed.
  • Faster idle tuning: Writing the idle function reloads only the changed parameters.
  • More stable idle: Stepper calibration about twice as fast with the control active, battery voltage compensation on the PWM valve, configurable ramp time for atmospheric compensation and compensation in parallel with gear change; TPS threshold for forced opening at 90% and the A/C load output removing the full compensation.
  • Water-methanol injection (WMI): New water-methanol injection control function.
  • New functions: Odometer and hourmeter accumulated by the VCU, with a dashboard reset button; ignition timing offset adjustment; water pump 2 with independent configuration; a P2P option with no activation limit.
  • O2 sensors: No zeroed reading during warm-up, disabled sensors leave the average, an element outside working temperature stops publishing a valid reading, and switching between internal sensor, FTCAN 2.0 and NanoPRO takes effect without restarting the VCU.
  • Thermatic fan: Multiple temperature sources, with on-screen explanation, and enrichment applied as soon as it is edited.
  • New channels: EGT (exhaust gas temperature) rise rate during the validated launch, with an overheating alarm above 400 °C/s; "Average fuel consumption (since reset)", resettable by the button; fuel level channel in liters and in percentage.
  • Tachometer output: The configured number of pulses is applied on the physical output, while the VCU's RPM measurement remains per cylinder.
  • Start and shutdown: A clean first fire without excess pulse, a direct transition from cranking to normal operation, and injection that stops during shutdown coast-down; the shutdown button's cut is released only after 1.5 s of engine stopped; the engine restarts normally after a shutdown by button.
  • Cuts and output test: Ignition and injection cuts, including the rev limiter, remain active after an output test; a cut requested by a Custom Function is applied in full below 200 rpm.
  • Injection and ignition: Revised angle tables, sequential mode available on rotary engines, and a leaner injection menu with injection RPM compensation editable in maps converted from PowerFT.

Turbo and Wastegate Management

5 updates
  • Control pressure sensor failure: With the sensor shorted, open or unpowered, valve outputs go to zero, an alert is issued per bank and control resumes when the reading returns.
  • Solenoid control with the engine running: In single target and per-RPM modes the solenoid is energized only with the engine running, not with the key on and the engine stopped.
  • Real-time tuning of approach and gain: Approach and gain edited in real time are written to the VCU, preserving the control response.
  • Electronic wastegate (eGate): The MAP PID accumulation protection takes effect when leaving saturation.
  • Control refinements: 3-way valve control without a fixed offset, an internal accumulation limit, revised output in progressive and interval modes and deadtime table unit, and wastegate pressure log channels with a 0 to 10 bar range.

Drag Racing: Race Report, Time Based Compensations and Launch

15 updates
  • Race report (crew chief assistant): PDF analysis of the drag racing weekend from the logs: run card, progression, air density, competitor comparison, launch lab, tire shake forensics, distance domain, transmission, engine, data quality and attack plan. Under Tools or on the button when selecting a log.
  • New graphical editor: Time based compensations gain their own Desktop screen with a chart in the FTManager format, point dragging on the chart, full-screen mode with Read VCU, Write and Save as, and dual scales (log channel on the left, time based curve on the right, default window -0.5 to 4 s).
  • Log inside the editor: Open a log on the screen, pick the launch and see the curves over the recorded channels, framed at the launch, with a collapsible channel panel and a live marker that follows the launch time while the 2-step is validated.
  • Map comparison: Up to four maps side by side, with dashed curves and point copying between the compared map and the curve being edited.
  • Integrated editing: Point table with add, multiply, interpolate, copy and paste, box zoom, synchronized chart point and table cell, and a button that copies a whole driveshaft or speed table to the paired A/B curve.
  • Function filter and rear axle height: Hide disabled functions with one button, and the four time based rear axle height curves are displayed and editable.
  • Open FTManager files: The editor opens .ftml logs, converting to the Vision format alongside the original.
  • More powerful time based control: Time based channels for the RPM limiter target (cut and retard) and to override or compensate the lambda closed loop target.
  • Validated launch and shifter position: With a position sensor configured, moving to P, N or R cancels the validated launch immediately.
  • 2-step, 3-step and launch lambda: With use-TPS enabled and no pedal source, launch timing and enrichment act; the time based lambda target after launch works even with closed loop disabled during the cut or on a fixed target.
  • Transbrake: Transbrake mode with a dedicated value in the gear indication and active staging information during launch.
  • Burnout on Lenco and Liberty transmissions: The shift to second with the 2-step or 3-step validated is recognized by gear detection, and the shift output is kept when the launch is validated.
  • Traction control: The per-cylinder retard ramps smoothly in the 150 rpm band before the minimum RPM.
  • Gear change by load cell: Calibration completes at any gain, gains 4800 and 9600 unlocked, a revised offset scale, and a new option to invert the reading.
  • Load cell reprogramming: Changing gain, inversion or filter with the part powered reprograms the sensor immediately, and the calibration at power-up is confirmed only after the reading stabilizes.

Automatic Transmission and Gear Change

9 updates
  • Real-time editing: Solenoid times, oil pressure, shift PWM and shift table go to the VCU as cells are edited.
  • Starting gear when entering D: With the vehicle stopped, below 5 km/h, first gear is commanded directly.
  • Speed sensor failure handling: A loss of signal is distinguished from a stopped vehicle, and downshifting when stopping in D is progressive.
  • Converter lockup: An invalid gear leads to safe mode, ramps start from the current actuation, minimum gear cuts the lockup, a temperature sensor failure does not force actuation, and equal on and off speeds disable the lockup, as on PowerFT.
  • Shift flare and kissing point: An RPM rise during the upshift immediately ends the hold phase, avoiding clutch slip; kissing point detection respects the minimum entry RPM and reports the reason when the point could not be detected.
  • Boost control hold during shift: The hold on the eGate, ETC Boost and Boost Controller during the shift (the shift freeze) is also triggered by the shift detected by gear, not only with the Gear Change Manager.
  • Gear detection: Pull-up option for the analog sensor, changes to the number of gears or the mode without restarting the VCU, and a new shifter position reading mode by PWM level on a single input.
  • External transmission (TCU): Support for an external transmission module, with the option to use its brake signal as the brake switch; the VCU only interferes with the transmission's CAN network with forced launch enabled, brake pressed and launch active.
  • Validation and diagnostics: Warnings when a shift changes no enabled solenoid and for out-of-range PWM values (table, row and solenoid), locked channels dropping at the end of the shift, and blip tables handling out-of-range gear readings.

Custom Functions

7 updates
  • Advanced mode: Fields and blocks marked as advanced stay hidden until the mode is activated.
  • Easier-to-navigate editor: Region zoom, two-level highlighting of connected blocks, output blocks in green while commanding, auto-scroll when dragging connections, a real-time measures panel and titles on table axes.
  • New block inputs and actions: Anti-windup input on the PID block, and override and torque target compensation actions for electric vehicles on the Action block.
  • Values the VCU sees: The measure written by the "Value to VCU" block is accepted by internal functions, such as gear by speed and wheel speed sources.
  • Long timers: Delay, Cyclic timer and Ramp accept times up to 49 days, set in one millisecond steps.
  • High-resolution cut: The timing retard input accepts a connection, so the cut reaches the VCU with its retard; existing functions are migrated.
  • Execution during map writing: Execution is paused and resumed safely while a new map is being written, and importing or reloading a function with others already active is handled safely.

Diagnostic Tools: Oscilloscope, CAN Sniffer and External Modules

9 updates
  • High-speed oscilloscope: Up to four simultaneous channels for trigger wheel, cam and sensors, automatic trigger (wait time from 100 ms to 2 s), bipolar crank, cam and VR signals at ±25 V, and remote viewing over the network.
  • CAN Sniffer: Live traffic of the CAN networks connected to the VCU, in parallel with normal communication, without interrupting the monitored port.
  • Configure the NanoPRO through the VCU: The NanoPRO on the CAN network is configured straight from Vision: output range, unit, sensor type, smoothing, association to cylinder, bank or exhaust, calibration and reset, with indication of the module's errors.
  • CAN Network: The real identity of each module (PH-Pro, PH-HV, NanoPRO, EGT-4, FTSpark and input expander) and whether it is online or not communicating.
  • Input expander and EGT-4: Redesigned expander screens with a progress indicator, primary and intermediate shaft RPM over the network, EGT-4 configuration and extended offset limits on Custom CAN signals.
  • Custom CAN: Per-field help, direction hints, bytes and equivalent frequency, large frame sending, new validation warnings (negative offset, scale below 1 without an arithmetic channel, frame above 8 bytes on a port without FD) and a warning when the function cannot start.
  • FTCAN 2.0: The FT700 transmits the 2-step signal and the bracket time.
  • PH-Pro, PH-HV, SwitchPanel and ProHV 8: Battery voltage display at its real scale, alerts prefixed by module, port C error published and the screen does not wait on an unresponsive module; a conflicting SwitchPanel button lights red and recovers after reconnection; new 16 V high-impedance preset on the ProHV 8, with the boost voltage also visible in basic mode.
  • Jet ski control: Sea-Doo support, with a warning when the OEM protocol does not start and a suggested CAN port configuration.

Inputs, Outputs and Sensors

8 updates
  • VR inputs as signal source: Variable reluctance (VR) inputs with their own screens in My VCU, frequency reading and a 16-pair linearization table, usable as a signal source for other functions.
  • Crank sensor: Inductive options indicate the wiring, the trigger wheel load is applied and the ignition masking filter is disabled.
  • More stable readings: Automatic compensation of the analog converters' internal reference makes readings such as the sensor 5 V more stable under temperature and supply variations.
  • Input filters and custom sensors: Averaging filter available for all predefined inputs without inheriting values; the custom sensor linearization table follows the measure's limits and step.
  • Accelerometer: One calibration request at a time, and calibrating outside the configured position keeps the reading live.
  • Side LED and output by MAP: Option to light the LED when the function is off; MAP output limit labels follow the chosen mode, with a warning when the upper limit is below the lower one.
  • New units: Tire and rim sizes accepting half inches, and shock absorber rate in millimeters or inches per second.
  • Outputs: Yellow output test on functions active at 12 V, ignition output configuration applied to its own driver, bank C injection following a change in the number of cylinders, and PWM outputs below 4 Hz going silent with no signal.

Datalogger

11 updates
  • Automatic trigger by conditions: Automatic start and stop can follow up to four conditions on any measure, combined with AND/OR, with hysteresis; a log started by the button obeys only the button.
  • Per-log comparison: Show, hide or recolor a channel in only one of the compared logs, and a warning lists channels with no counterpart in the main log.
  • Scales: New preference (off by default) that extends the channel scale to the time based tables that use it; minimum and maximum beyond the measure's range, MAP up to 20 bar, GPS speed up to 500 km/h and the fixed scale marker saved per channel.
  • Cursors and keyboard: On Desktop, arrows move the cursor by 0.01 s (Shift 0.001 s, Ctrl 0.1 s, Alt shifts the zoom window); cursor time always visible, averages between cursors for several channels, both cursors working with the table overlay open.
  • Cleaner display: Collapsible side menu for the 7-inch screen, RPM and speed drawn without steps, line thickness applied to all series.
  • New channels and events: Shock absorber rate of change, active engine cut, idle RPM target and idle-by-TPS signal recorded, and events generated during recording included in the downloaded file.
  • Share button: Native Windows share button on the home screen and the datalogger bar.
  • Download all logs: Improved batch handling: a failure in one file does not abort the batch, a report lists which ones failed, repeated downloads keep the previous temporary log and saving a temporary log opens "Save as".
  • Save safely: Saving a log over its own file keeps it on disk, and saving a log whose file was moved asks you to locate it.
  • Large logs: Logs with more than a thousand channels display in full, a second log opens with Vision responsive, and memory use is lower when closing tabs and overlays.
  • Automatic stop and math channels: The log ends on its own by TPS when idle stays above the minimum, a stop during preparation produces no empty log, and the driveshaft-based transmission RPM channel has standardized units and a revised formula.

Maps and Tables

6 updates
  • FTManager-style 3D chart: Center-based surface mode, with the mesh through the cell centers and the selection shading the faces around the point.
  • FTManager-style navigation: F6 switches the injection map unit; with a row or column selected by its header, the arrow moves the whole selection.
  • Interpolate, smooth and axes: A single undo step and a single send to the VCU, working on single-row tables; editing an axis value on variable-size tables reorders axis and data together.
  • Tables larger than the firmware accepts: The validation warning gains a button to adjust the sizes automatically, and each table respects the VCU limit during editing.
  • Editing refinements: Edited, unsaved values in orange in the light theme; Save as keeps screens and tabs; SwitchPanel assignments shown and preserved; the update-units prompt only marks the map as changed and gains Cancel; invalid expressions in add, multiply and fill rejected; default values not limited to 5500 rpm.
  • Map Comparator: Tables with different axes merged by value, with what is missing on one side in gray; the other map converted before comparison, keeping tables aligned without changing the active map; zoom up to three times.

New Map Wizard and PowerFT Import

4 updates
  • Reorganized wizard: Split by area, with injection per bank, separate ignition, automatic displacement and cylinders, pre-selected firing order and a prominent Generate map button; now also on Mobile and Tablet.
  • Vehicle database: Harley-Davidson 32-2 trigger wheel preset, RX-7 and RX-8 as rotary engines, an "Other" make that preserves what you typed and three diagnostic modes on the cam sensor.
  • Better generated maps: MAP axis in round bar values, injector deadtime table from a generic curve scaled by pressure, grid limit respected on high-revving engines, outputs and angles derived as the configuration screens do.
  • PowerFT import: External TCU configuration and the transmission CAN port are converted, deadtime by voltage migrates to the matching table with the highest voltage point preserved, and the eGate position comes with the predefined sensor; outputs are numbered by physical pin in the report and converted logs are saved compressed.

FT700 Screen

6 updates
  • Sound volume: Volume adjustment for interface sounds and alerts on the device.
  • The FT700 keeps your current screen: When activating a map sent by Vision, the FT700 stays on its current screen and the dashboard reloads with the new map.
  • Restore factory defaults: New option on My VCU and on Desktop over USB cable only (see "Good to know after updating").
  • Recovery state: When the VCU is waiting for a valid map (yellow LED state), the FT700 shows a red border with the recovery notice and Desktop shows it in the bottom bar.
  • Alert warnings and clock: Customizable position and style of alert warnings; legible date and time sync with feedback, and a VCU with a lost clock accepts the adjustment.
  • 7-inch screens and startup: The 2-step activation page scrolls, the VE learning screen uses the embedded fonts, the display recovers automatically and the secure storage notice has a time limit and a close button.

GPS and Lap Timer

3 updates
  • GPS receiver and coordinates: The FT470 works with the external FT GPS CAN module, while the FT700 keeps its built-in GPS; coordinates can also be shown in decimal degrees.
  • More precise lap time: Three decimal places, updated continuously, with one millisecond resolution between GPS readings.
  • No satellite signal: With no fix, the GPS keeps the last valid position and marks the channel as invalid; the lap timer does not process a stationary position.

Interface and Usability

8 updates
  • Changelog search: From two characters on, searches all versions, ignoring accents and case, with highlighting and match count.
  • Open with a preset map: Open Vision with a predefined map and initial dashboard, from the map or an external file, on PC, tablet and phone.
  • Connectors diagram: Clearer input, output and Flex IO screens, with a warning when leaving with unconfirmed changes.
  • Alerts and notifications: A new icon and a see-more button on Desktop, grouping of repeated notifications with a counter, and a list limited to fifty items.
  • Smaller screens and Windows scaling: Adjustments for 1366x768 and for 125% and 150% zoom, and recovery from hibernation or sleep, including with monitors of different scales.
  • Everyday shortcuts: Ctrl+S saves the map or log, and double-clicking a .ftmap or .ftlog in Windows brings the Vision window to the front.
  • Units: Engine volume in cm³, liters or cubic inches, unified size unit for shock absorber and height sensors, track distance separate from distance traveled, injector flow always in lb/h.
  • Interface details: Disabled functions matching a search stay visible dimmed, the collapsed information panel leaves no empty strip, the account photo appears on the top bar, and in guest mode the news tab guides you to log in.

Electric Vehicles

9 updates
  • New inverters, BMS and chargers: Inverters: WEG CVW500 G2, WEG CVW800S, Cascadia, BRM SEG 280 and the DXXT axle inverter. BMS: WEG S, CTS and Orion. Chargers: EVCC and EVC100. On-board chargers: Dilong DA3K3M and Thunderstruck TSM 2500.
  • BMS plugin and current limits: Traction battery management reading charge and discharge currents, and unified control of discharge and charge limits, with response adjusted by RPM, protections and real-time monitoring.
  • Inverter state as text: New channel with the inverter state as text (Ready, Running, Fault and others) according to the configured model, on the dashboard and in the logs.
  • Charging: Starts only after the pack authorizes it and ends when the connector leaves the charging state, with "Charging suspended" and "Stopping charge" notifications; cable removal is announced as such; new slow charge button.
  • Pedal and brake validation: Graduated reaction to pedal failure, keeping the system active with reduced power, with calibration and plausibility validation; the brake must have a valid reading to arm the vehicle.
  • Electric brake booster and air compressor: Realistic defaults, compressor and pressure sensor failure detection with alerts, degraded cycle to preserve vacuum, arm lockout with the booster in failure, and a purge function with status, log channel and dashboard indication.
  • Motor protections: Maximum electric motor speed sent to the inverter; sequenced high-voltage shutdown on the GVD550, waiting for the current to drop before opening the contactors; reverse rotation protection, with regeneration shown as a negative torque target.
  • State names: Start-up states read "Starting electrical system" and "Waiting for brake".
  • See also: Custom functions (override and torque target compensation actions for electric vehicles), CAN Network (module identity and status) and the "Battery voltage" channel name under "Good to know after updating".

New Languages

1 updates
  • Thai and Arabic: Thai, with translation and dedicated font; Arabic, Vision's ninth language, with full translation, dedicated font, help texts and changelog, on the FT700, Desktop, Mobile and Tablet.
