Huge July

August 15, 2013

With a great number of clients in the stage lights, FuelTech's products faced serious challenges at Atco and Orlando. The 19th Pan American Nationals and Dragmania gathered the fastest cars of the moment in the world of drag racing, and FuelTech was pleased to be chosen by many of them to manage engines, gearboxes and turbo systems.

Once more tuners claimed that FuelTech’s easy way to program is impressive, and the performance down the strip is assured. “In a matter of seconds you can download the PRO24 datalogger and make consistent improvements in the adjustments of the car. It’s unbelievable how fast you can get serious runs at any racetrack”, said Omar Crespo, from Tampa Bay Tuned. Another huge deal for the racers was the FuelTech GearController module, which made a tremendous traction control job and gave a big hand on shifting.

At Atco Raceway, NJ, the historic challenge between Team USA and Team Puerto Rico was the highlight of the 19th Pan American Nationals, presented by Import DPS. Lucimar Racing and Import DPS were some of the teams that showed to the crowd FuelTech’s reliability. “Every day more cars trust on us to make serious runs. Unfortunately we didn’t make to the finals, but we saw some consistent passes, such as Lucimar’s 7s21@197 mph”, celebrated Anderson Dick, CEO of FuelTech.

A week later Orlando Speed World Dragway opened the gates for the most talked about automotive event in the American Nation, DragMania. Don Omar together with Rafael Pina organized their third event of the year. The combination of music with drag racing is packing the stands on every racetrack. This was the first appearance of Don Omar on the track after winning the competition in TexasMotorplex.

At Florida, FuelTech equiped La Atrevida to register a new personal record, 7s29@184 mph. Lucimar powered his 1200 whp Honda to a time of 7s22, but had problems at the first round of elimination. The next DragMania will take place at San Antonio, September 21st.

“Hopefully we can maintain this consistence and get some more tenths of a second to the back half of the season, because we really want to give the best products to our clients. We are doing a serious job in USA to have a one of a kind catalog, where performance can be at everyone’s hands”, said Heraldo Bueno, FuelTech’s technical director.
