4.7 Update - New Features

How to update?


Follow the steps below to update the ECU:

Step 1 -  Back up the maps and logs in the ECU before updating the ECU: It's recommended to back up all the important maps and logs contained in the FT450, FT500, FT500LITE, FT550 or FT600. The update won't delete the maps, but will delete the logs.

Step 2 - Download version 4.7 of FTManager: Download the new version in the "Software> FTManager" menu at FuelTech site or CLICK HERE to download the new version.


Step 3:
Open the FTManager software and plug the USB cable into the ECU, click on the “Tools” tab and then “ECU Updater” icon.

eGate function improvement


- New eGate calibration button in the FTManager Home
tab

- Block of the ouptut test option when outputs are configured as EGate Motor + and EGate Motor –

- General improvements of calibration and usability of the electronic wastegate control:
• Alerts update
• Feedback to the user regarding the eGate calibration improvement

- New status event alert for eGate not calibrated

 

External reference control

 

- New logic for ignition timing and electronic throttle control (SENT protocol) FuelTech + External source;

- New individual inputs to read up to 8 external ignition timing references for datalog or FuelTech + External
ignition control;

- New analog input to read external electronic throttle position (SENT protocol) for datalog use or as reference
for FuelTech + External throttle logic control) .

- New electronic throttle opening table by gear and RPM

- New option to configure the number of pulses for tach output per engine cycle

 

- New option for blip (heel and toe) activation when using FuelTech Power shift function

 

- Possibility to configure analog gear change detection sensor with any voltage order

 

- Analog gear change detection sensor voltage configuration has now 3 decimal places

Dynojet software integration


FTManager Dynojet Power Core integration

FTManager is now capable of real-time data broadcasting to the Dynojet Power Core software, from the FT ECU.

 

Improvements


- New option for external reset button for Liberty transmission control

- Changed the maximum/minimum battery voltage fuel compensation range from -5ms to 5ms


- Blocking time between gear shift request reduced from 1s to 0.2s for Gear Change Management function


- Allowed Power shift lever voltage configuration to reach 2.4V and 2.6V


- Possibility to configure analog gear change detection sensor with any voltage order


- Analog gear change detection sensor voltage configuration has now 3 decimal places

 

Corrections


- Fix of the Auxiliary injection output test option


- Fix of the error of the real time cursor being in the wrong
spot in the MAP/TPS ignition compensation screen


- Fix of the electric fan diagnostic panel exhibition values


- Disabled the eGate #2 flow table when Only eGate #1 isactivated

 


WINDOWS DEFENDER SMARTSCREEN WARNING MESSAGE

After executing the program, Windows Defender SmartScreen may display a warning message when installing FT Manager.

Here are the steps to follow to install FT Manager if this happens to you:
